The staff is really friendly and helpful, especially Twyla at the front desk. The room was a bit small and stuffy upon arrival. Breakfast includes local touches like green chile sauce, which is nice. No elevator, so be prepared for stairs with luggage.

The indoor pool was a nice perk for relaxation, and the staff was friendly. Disappointed there was no elevator for upper floors, making it tough with luggage.

Decent hotel with standout features. Complimentary ice, water, and breakfast are notable perks. Staff? Exceptionally friendly. Clean towels, ample dining options nearby, and easy highway access enhance the experience. The room was new and comfortable, with the pool available at a quiet hour. the downsides require attention. Obnoxious lights disrupted sleep, and a cracked window detracted from comfort. Poor A/C performance in the morning added to frustration. While the exterior impresses, the interior cleanliness falls short. Improvements are needed in room setup, particularly regarding space for the fridge and microwave. With strategic enhancements, this hotel could elevate its appeal significantly. A revisit could be worthwhile—if those adjustments are made.

clean rooms, clean bathrooms with plenty of bath towels and a roomy full-sized tub for a refreshing shower after a long day of exploring.
Couldn't ask for more.

The staff are friendly and provide great local tips. The breakfast is plentiful, and I enjoyed the quick access to nearby fast food.
Breakfast started before I woke up, which was a bummer.

The room was small but clean. The bed stood out—it was firm and supportive, perfect for my back. I slept soundly in a quiet environment, away from disruptions. The bathroom, however, had a loud fan that made it hard to enjoy peace. The shower was decent, but the showerhead left something to be desired. I appreciated the friendly front desk staff and the convenience of parking. Breakfast was adequate but lacked variety. Issues with power outages didn’t help the experience, and I noticed some maintenance concerns that should be addressed.

Friendly staff really made a difference, and the property smelled great. The sheets and bathroom were clean, plus the pillows were comfy. The pool was inviting, and the location was spot on. carrying luggage upstairs was a hassle, and breakfast was a letdown—waffles and muffins aren't enough. The pet-friendly room had carpet, which felt off. It’s a decent spot for a quick stop, but some management issues need addressing, like better communication among staff. Wouldn't hesitate to return for the value and overall experience.

I was really impressed with how close this place is to many attractions like Mesalands Community College's Dinosaur Museum which is just over 2 km away plus the New Mexico Route 66 Museum and several great local restaurants within walking distance which makes it perfect for enjoying a weekend stroll while discovering the charm of the area and on top of that, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was super friendly and helpful but the room size could feel a little cramped if you're traveling with more than one person.

It was a bit pricy, but worth it.

Desert Inn Tucumcari offers exceptionally clean rooms with incredibly comfortable beds, ensuring a great night's sleep. The staff is genuinely helpful, recommending nearby dining options. While breakfast is basic, the welcoming atmosphere and tidy pool area make this motel a solid choice for travelers.

The bathroom fan was ridiculously loud and turned on with the light. It made an already uncomfortable experience even worse, especially since I didn’t realize it until I was stuck in there. Definitely could use some upgrades!

the room was equipped with an ironing facility, which came in handy for keeping my clothes neat and wrinkle-free. The heating in the room worked well and kept us cozy during the chilly evenings. there were a few areas that needed improvement. The air conditioning was leaking, causing the carpet to be damp, which was quite uncomfortable. the room was quite small and lacked a sitting area, making it feel a bit cramped. The flat-screen TV in the room was a nice touch for entertainment, but the carpeted floor felt a bit outdated and could use some refreshing. The housekeeping staff did their best to keep the room clean, but there were still some lingering issues like a cigarette smell in the halls.

During my Christmas stay, the hot water pressure in the shower was amazing, providing a relaxing experience after a long day of travel. The location was convenient for a quick stop on our road trip, with fast food options within a short walking distance.
The room was quite small, and the breakfast options were limited, especially if you have dietary restrictions like being gluten-free. The refrigerator in the room wasn't plugged in upon arrival, causing it to be warm.

The gentleman at the desk was helpful and kind, making check-in a breeze. The lobby and breakfast areas were clean and well maintained, adding to a pleasant stay. The location was convenient, with several dining options and gas stations nearby. We had a nice view from our room, and it felt safe and comfortable. Considering the price, it felt like a great deal for the stay.
The room needed updates. The lights over the bed looked outdated, contrasting with the otherwise updated furniture and amenities.

we had a nice stay at Desert Inn. the staff was friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. Although small, the room's clean and comfortable beds made up for it. And with plenty of breakfast choices, the scrambled eggs were a highlight.
Nothing, it is perfect! 👍

Enjoyed a cozy night while crossing New Mexico. The variety of amenities made me feel spoiled.
The loud room doors symphony at night was my lullaby.

Our stay at a charming motel near the Statue of Liberty on Route 66 was enjoyable. The rooms were clean and cozy, offering a comfortable place to rest after our night adventures. The friendly staff, especially Jessica at the front desk, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fantastic. The indoor pool was a delightful bonus, perfect for a quick dip. a great place to recharge on our road trip.
Lingering odors in the entry area and our room were a minor inconvenience.
